We are excited to invite you to a delightful adventure at Calla Lily Restaurant, a hidden gem nestled high in the beautiful Yangmingshan mountains. Our dedicated admins have personally visited this rustic café, and thanks to the wonderful recommendations from members Dave and Shirley, we can’t wait to share this experience with you.
Imagine a peaceful spot surrounded by babbling brooks, fields of lilies and hydrangeas, and the soothing sounds of nature. The journey may be off the beaten path, but rest assured, we’ve mapped it out perfectly – just ask Bronwyn! The restaurant is only 50 metres from the road, making it easily accessible, even for those with sore backs or knees.
You’ll be welcomed by the warm-hearted owner, who grows much of the food served. The meals are simple, delicious, and excellent value. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, an honestly perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, and a wonderful place to catch up with friends old and new.
How to Join the Fun
- Meeting Point: Zhishan Station, Exit 1
- Time: Please arrive by 12pm on Friday, 12 June
- Getting There: We’ll share Ubers (about $350 return), or you’re welcome to travel independently. We’ll prebook Ubers to return to Zhishan Station at 2pm.

- The restrooms are not Western style, but they are spotless.

🌸 Calla Lily Lunch – Friday 12 June 🌸 UPDATED
Looking forward to catching up with everyone for our little food adventure and some relaxing country vibes! Even better, Ken is predicting a small window of fine weather for us. 
A couple of important updates, so please have a quick read:
Uber group
If you’re travelling with us in the Ubers, please meet at Zhishan Station, Exit 2, by 11:55am at the latest (see attached map for the exact meeting spot).
The Ubers are booked for 12:00pm, and there’s a short walk to where they’ll pick us up. If it’s raining, feel free to wait inside the station until it’s time to head out. Bronwyn and I will be outside Exit 2 so you’ll be able to spot us easily.
Lunch
Our table is booked for 12:30pm, and the food has already been ordered. The portions are very generous, so we’ll be sharing dishes around the table (trust us, it’s a lot of food!).
